The ninth step in Systematic Outcomes Analysis building (this uses the Contracting Arrangements Building-Block (Contracting)), is concerned with the types of contracting arrangements which can be set up between a funder and a doer (a player who's charged with implementing a sub-set or all of the interventions within an outcomes model).
Step 9.1 Negotiating which contracting approach is appropriate
Systematic Outcomes Analysis identifies three possible contracting approaches which can be used. Which one of these is going to be used in a particular case needs to be negotiated between the Funder and the Doer. More information is available on these in the relevant model section here. The three possible approaches are as follows:
9.1.1 Arrangement 1: Contracting for outputs only
9.1.2 Arrangement 2: Contracting for outputs AND 'managing for outcomes'
9.1.3 Arrangement 3: Contracting for not fully controllable outcomes
